Over 100 Years of Family Business
The Palmisano Family Album
1903 - 2006

The vision of my Great Grandparents Giuseppe Palmisano and Frances Cecelia Gugliotta Palmisano lives on this as we are celebrating over 100 years of festival hosting in the Palmisano family. From just a horse and buggy on the streets to over 60 acres of food, crafts, live musical entertainment and a full carnival midway. Come join us this as we salute his vision of over 100 years of great food, family fun, family legacy and our families Italian Heritage!

Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Domenico, Uncle Angelo, My Grandfather Anthony and my dad Joe, he was six months old when this photo taken in 1934. They use to make nuts on a string, they would make the string 2 feet long and sell them in a cluster from 5 cents to 10 cents each and sell home made Italian cookies on a tray and Italian candy called Trone, from a horse driven cart and decorate the cart in Italian colors and go to different Italian feast all over.

Here is a photo of my Great Grandfather Giuseppe who came from Termini Imerese Palermo, Sicily in 1903. In this photo with him is his son Frank and his son Joe (Jersey Joe) Palmisano and he is the last Palmisano's alive from his sons, one of his daughters Aunt Mae. The photo was taken in 1929 at 641/2 Tell Street in the lane between Tell and Penn Street in Providence's Rhode Island Italian Neighborhood call Federal Hill.
He had 18 kids.
